Can't decide on a motherboard

I need to get a sturdy motherboard that can support i5 CPU and a radeon hd 7870 xt saphire video card.
It doesn't need to support crossfire,sli, or 3.0 USB. Preferably a not normal sized atx for $100 or less. It will need to support future upgrades last awhile and 8gb patriot 1866 ram.

Yes what you need is H77 MOBO you can shop around for a good price and or different brand. Find the one that you like with the most features you want. Z77 Mobo is for OC and since you are not going to OC you dont need it.

it might be worth it to get a board that has OC capabilities - in the future you can squeeze more juice out of the processor to keep up with the Jones'

are you sure that your proc is a 3350 3.1 GHz? looking on Intel's website, the X3350 (Xeon) is 2.6 GHz

Can it be overclocked? Although I don't see a need to could be useful in the future.

Nope, you're locked in at the max turbo speed - only slight OC can be achieved, probably to 3.8 if you know what you're doing...
You don't need a Z77 unless you want the features it offers over the H77

Yes well I figured in the future I'd probably go crossfire so that's why I'm getting the z77 because I'm getting a oem version of win 7 and will be stuck with my motherboard.
