Xfx 7970 or Asus 7950?

The Asus 7950 and then XFX 7970 are pretty much the same in price.. I would just go with the XFX but I have heard bad things about them..

Which would I be better off doing?

Also, I only plan to overclock whichever card I get by 75-100mhz

If the price differance is slim go for the 7970. Both are great cards (i love my 7950) but why not go for the best?

It does not matter. Both are great brands but you might be unlacky and get a lemon no matter what company you choose. I think asus also takes more room (3 slot solution...better cooling) and XFX takes only 2 slots.

i was actually going to get an xfx 7950 since they have lifetime warranty, and it would fit in my case, but the powercolor (had never had heard about them and turned out to be excellent) went on sale for 260$

just keep all of the boxes and stuff that come with your gpu for a while incase you do get a dud

cool, definitely recommend it. With my rig i can max crysis 3 with around 30-40 fps so you'll be set for a long time to come. Are you getting the neversettle reloaded bundle with your card?

Ive typed this out on my phone like 4 times but it keeps logigng me out and being mean.

I plan on gaming on 3 monitors (eyefinity) at 4800x900 (1600x900 x3) and hoppefully getting mid-high settings easily (It is a 3gb card, soo)

And your build looks pretty good in your siggy thing.

And I am pretty sure it will come with it. On NCIX its like 360$... Pretty good for a 7970
