Hard drives in enclosure operated at 90-98 Celsius due to failed fan

I have a 8 hard disk enclosure which was working well for several years but whose fan seems to have failed during my last shutdown. I didn't realize it and ran several hard disk intensive backups for a couple of days. A slowing system got me motivated to investigate and I got a serious shock when hddtemp reported temps of 90-98 Celsius and nearly burned my hand trying to remove the hot-swappable drives.

Amazingly, the drives still seem to be functioning in the enclosure (with a new fan) but I am going to be getting replacements just to be sure. How long do you think I can run the drives before they finally go kaput?

Thanks for your responses! I ended up getting a bunch of 3 TB hard drives and am now backing up the older drives. I think they should serve as okay backup drives until they fail. Amazing that the failure of a $6 fan caused about $600 worth of damage!
