Have printed out IP address and manually entered it and ran trouble shooting and turned off firewalls. Have reset Modem/router. Laptop connects wireless every time. Any suggestions please

We need a bit more information, like are you at home or at a work place and what kind of server are you trying to connect to?

Basically you will need to narrow down the problem, I would suggest using the ping function on both the server and the laptop to see if they can connect to each other. Make sure that you know the IP addresses for both and that they are on the same domain and subnet. If neither can connect I would check the modem/router for issues. If one can connect to another then it is probably and issue with blocking protocols. One last tip, WHS disables the protocol for ping by default and you will have to enable it to ping from the laptop to the server, if you are using a windows server.
