I just bought from newegg XFX 7870 double d black edition graphics card to put in my gaming pc. I am using my tv which is an Vizio 55inch lcd for my pc with hdmi cable. I just switched over from 550ti. I am having a few issues. First games are not running as smooth as my 550ti which doesnt make sense, i have this flciker that happens in the middle of the screen not huge but noticable comes and goes as it pleases. I removed the drivers for my 550ti atleast i think i removed all of them i did the uninstall from all programs and the right click under driver for the video card and removed. I installed the new drivers from the website but i didnt know which one is stable so I tried both 3.1 and 3.3 both are the same with issues. Big problem is I tried to play Skyrim on high and it works but freezes up and goes to black screen and then i can here sound but cant move my mouse unless I do CTRL ALT DELETE then task manager and close the game and back to normal on desktop, same problem with Warframe. First time I did Warframe is said video card not supported which i fixed that by downloading the different driver from AMD. Is there something that I am doing wrong or didnt remove the old drivers from 550ti or something. Maybe HDMI problems should I use DVI which wont I lose hdmi and 1080 if i did that. Any ideas thanks. Not overclocked expect the card which came that way from factory.
