my son is bending my ear about his wireless connection keeps fading out. Personally i hve no probs, he is a heavy game user is there anyway i can boost my wireless so i dont have to install a cable connection, nice one
I used to buy cheap wireless routers. They worked. Then I had the opportunity to test a couple of dual-band wireless N routers. The difference was astounding, and they're not ridiculously expensive.
This is the one I'm using now: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=33-122-491&IsVirtualParent=1
You can find my feedback on it on 01/11/2013.
If you have the Sky SR101, it is wireless N (see - http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/network-wifi/3420596/sky-hub-sr101-review/ ). If you have the older model, it is probably wireless B/G. You can pickup a new wireless N router for about $100-$120...wireless N will give you better reception.
Also - check your son's connection - if make sure he can connect wireless N.
