Hi i'm planning to purchase both a new cable modem and USB router, and after searching for a little I've found a lot of mixed reviews. So I have decided to ask you guys for your opinion on the fastest cable modem compatible with Time Warner and the fastest USB router compatible with Linux specifically BackTrack RT 3 x64.

P.S. I plan on using an old gaming desktop with Smooth Wall for the wireless router, so I want to avoid any bottlenecks.

P.P.S. If anybody has any suggestions for a better program than Smooth Wall i'm open to suggestions.

Heavy gaming, video streaming, torrents ... That kind of thing theirs a fair number of devices connected to the old one (3 smartphones, 1 PS3, 1Wii, 1 LG Smart TV, 1 LG Smart Blue-ray player, 1 I-pod touch, 2 laptops, 1 desktop, 1 desktop Ethernet connection, and 1 printer.) so it's been crashing pretty frequently. I was planing on using an old Pentium 4 at something like 3.23 GHz with an 500 gig hard drive and an Asus PCE-AC66 Wireless-AC1750 Dual-Band PCI-E Adapter

I need the USB router for a desktop that it would be impractical to run an Ethernet cable to.
