I think it may be that your graphics card / driver has an issue. Does it show anything if you press F2 like crazy immediately after you turn it on? If yes, then it is a driver issue. Or, you could hook it up to a separate monitor and see if you get any output. If yes, then your screen is messed up. If no, there is an issue with your graphics card / driver.
