ok this may b a little tricky...
I have a 2tb Wd caviar black hdd that was about 80%full and i decided to stream a video to the tv for my kids, watch a video on my monitor, unrar a 50gb file, and burn a dvd all at the same time from the same hdd... i was really testing the limits here. first i noticed the dvd was at a stand still at 2% for much longer than usual, but winrar was unpacking fine. then i went to switch the movie that was streaking on the tv and it stopped, then my movie stopped, then winrar stopped and my dvd stopped at almost the same time.
then i couldn't access anything on my hdd, so i restarted the pc and tried to just use winrar and stream a movie and it all crashed again, so i restarted and tried to just stream a movie and it crashed again only this time when i rebooted the hdd had disappeared from my computer. it still shows up in the bios and device manager but has an error and says its offline.
heres the other bizarre part, i took the hdd out and placed it in an external enclosure, when i started up my desktop one of my other ssd's had disappeared from my computer, but once i plugged in the external hdd my ssd popped back up but still no hdd.
i tried a system restore, as well as deleting the hdd firmware and re-installing, then i deleted the hdd all together and cant find in in "storage space" anymore.
i think its worth adding that i have had an issue where i was burning a dvd with my bluray burner and imgburn froze and all the sudden my bdr disappeared from my computer for about an hour and randomly returned to me.
