What are the benefits of OCing RAM?

I overclocked my G.Skill Ripjaws X (4gbx2) 1866mhz RAM to 2133mhz in BIOS and ran SiSoftware Sandra or some junk like that and all of the benchmark numbers for RAM went up by about 25%

What does that actually mean in overall performance?

None for gaming unless you are using an APU. You might see a slight improvement on some programs

Faster RAM doesn't have that much of an impact to performance anymore except in some few applications and hardware combinations (APU's). Generally, its not worth buying faster RAM. But if you can overclock to those speeds, not going to complain about free performance.
