Hey all, just installed a new PSU in my PC (went from an OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W to a Corsair HX850) and my PC no longer boots properly (getting the FF code). I've got:
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
MSI 790FX-GD70
8GB Mushkin Enhanced Silverline
MSI 7870 Hawk
Some other stuff.
My build has been completely stable for over two years now and I've unplugged and replugged/rewired everything a couple times with the same PSU so I highly doubt that I have something plugged in wrong. When I turn it on, everything runs, fans, GPU, HDD, etc., I just can't get it to get past the FF code. The FF just flashes every couple seconds with the HDD light, but doesn't go any further. And once the PC is on, I cannot turn it off with either the case power button, or directly on the motherboard.
I've been scrounging around for a bit for similar threads, but they all seem to be with brand new builds. Absolutely nothing except for the PSU has changed in mine. So I am now wondering if the issue is the PSU, or something else for some reason.
Any input or suggestions would be much appreciated.
