hi thanks for your reply. ive installed the ones in your link and i have another question. ive been reading on the internet that you should set the setting MSAA in games as OFF to improve gameplay, is the true ? and my fps hovers around the 60 mark, is that also okay. coz i have 2 6870s in crossfire. hope to hear from you soon. thanks in advance

MSAA is a form of filtering that improves the graphics quality of the game. Turning it off or down will improve your FPS performance. However, if you are consistently at 60 FPS, you might try turning it up some or increasing the other graphic quality settings and see how good you can get the game to display while still maintaining good FPS.

something to be wary of with those cards (i used to have 2 x 6850's in crossfire) is games that use more than 1gb vram you will see significant stuttering. So you may need to turn texture detail down in some games to keep vram use down. of course with crossfire you are likely to see stuttering anyway. Keeping a high framerate like 60fps with vsync on normally eliminates the stuttering, you notice it more when fps is lower. Because of those things i sold my 2 x 6850's and got a good single card with 2gb vram.
