Hey everyone.

I've recently upgraded my HDD to my brother's, and then after 2 months my computer started doing some problems. It started when I was using it and suddenly it can freeze for a couple of seconds and then go back (Skype calls still work in the background even though it's freezing), and sometimes the fans are making noise and after a couple of seconds it can suddenly shutdown my system like in a second, but the weird thing is - The power led (That turns on when you click on the power button) is still on. Then I have to push the power button for 5 seconds, and turn my computer back on.

My brother works in it so we cleaned the WHOLE computer. We checked the degrees, he said everything looks fine so he opened the power supply and cleaned the filter and the fan and all the dust.

Still, it's doing this problem every now and then. It's so weird. What could be the problem? Btw, when we opened the computer after it happened, the power supply was really hot but there doesn't seem to be a problem with it. Oh and.. we wanted to use the warranty on the power supply but it had CoolerMaster's sticker on it (the warranty sticker) on the screw and we had to open it.. does it mean we have no warranty from the store we bought it from?

Thanks.

Yeah you more than likely messed up your warrenty when you crack it open and there is evidence with a messed up sticker. I would have to agree that it is the PS and If you keep running it your going to mess up other components as well. Power fluctuations from the PS will knock out little things and your MB won't be the same. I's happened to me before.
