I just ordered some Scythe Gentle Typhoons the 5400rpm AP-31 version, but I've now discovered that they only have 4-pin Molex connections which wouldn't connect to my fan controller as it only takes the normal 3-pin fan connections and I definitely don't want them running at full tilt all the time :-\
So I need to get a few adapters, 4-pin (Molex)>>3-pin so I can monitor the current rpm and increase/decrease as and when I need to.
I found these *Here*, but they only have 2 wires (1-Black & 1-Yellow) going from the Molex to the 3-pin plug, so does that mean I won't be able to control the rpm with my fan controller??? I'm guessing the black wire is for power, but what is the yellow wire for and the missing red wire???
