Hey guys, I need a few motherboard recommendations for my new gaming build. I am going with an i5-3470 and will not be needing to overclock, so I am not exactly sure what to go with. I was thinking an H77 or B75, but as far as what brand to go with, that is where I am stumped. Any help on this would be most appreciated. Thanks!

ASUS have some solid and well priced offerings esp. for H77, in the sort of $50-$80 range. Any of ASRock, Gigabyte, MSI and of course ASUS are solid brands, and you likely can't go wrong with one from them. Just make sure it has the features you want (WiFi and what not) without spending too much.

Ah ok cool. I'll definitely go with the H77 then.

On another note, how difficult would it be to upgrade the CPU in the future? Say I wanted to get an i7-3770 or something of the like. Is it difficult to take the motherboard and cpu out? I've never built a computer before so this is all new to me.

Oh ok, I didn't realize putting in a new cpu would be that easy. Will the i5 3470 last me a good long while? I'm going to pair it with either a 7950 or 670, can't decide which.

Yes that is one of the best locked Intel gaming CPUs. Even if you are going to upgrade it won't be hard like tiny voices mentioned. Just remove the heatsink, [optional]clean off the thermal paste[optional], release the level, pull out the CPU and put it in. Easy as Pi.
