I am not building my own, so if that is your answer I would appreciate you not answer. I am considering these 3 Alien ware, which would be better:
Processor: Intel Core i7-3820 Processor (3.6GHz,Quad Core, 10MB Cache) Overclocked up to 4.1GHz
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium
Dell Outlet Alienware Aurora R4 Desktop
1TB, 7200 RPM 3.5 inch SATA 6Gb/s Hard Drive
16GB, DDR3 UDIMM Memory, 1600MHz, non ECC (4 x 4GB DIMMs)
24X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability
Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Dual
This would be $1200 after discount.

This one:2

1TB 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache
8GB, DDR3 UDIMM Memory, 1600MHz, Non-ECC (4 x 2 GB DIMMs)
24X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability
3 GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590

#3
Processor: Intel Core i7-3930K Processor (3.9Ghz OverClocked,Six Core,12MB Cache)
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium
Dell Outlet Alienware Aurora R4 Desktop
1TB, 7200 RPM 3.5 inch SATA 6Gb/s Hard Drive
8GB, DDR3 UDIMM Memory, 1600MHz, Non-ECC (4 x 2 GB DIMMs)
24X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability
3 GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 7950 or with GTX 580 1.5gb
$1500 after discount.

Would the difference between the 3820 and 3930 k be worth a couple hundred dollars???
Thank you.

Nah, I would much rather build my own if targeting gaming performance.
Don't waste your money on overpriced Alienware.

The main parts of a strong gaming rig could look something like this:
3570K
2x GTX 670

You can't build those for that cheap. They are refurbished with a 1 year warranty. I went on PC partpicker: The first build comes in at about $50 dollars more then the Alienware.

I'm not telling you to build the same, I am telling you those builds are bad, and you can build better for less. You need to understand that 6 cores and hyperthreading is useless for games. The 3570K will perform just as good, as your GPU will almost always be slowing you down.
