What RAM? (Crucial vs G.Skill)

Hi! I've decided to get an FX-8350 an ASUS M5A99FX-PRO 2.0.
The question is what RAM I should get for it.

Crucial BallistiX Elite 1866MHz (9.9.9.24) or
G.Skill Ares LP 1866MHz (9.10.9.27)

Both kits are 2x4GB.

The BallistiX are about $6 more expensive, but are they better? With the lower latency they look better, but do they really perform any better? I guess it's a choise between heatsinks too, since the BallistiX are high and the Ares low. If I get the BallistiX I'd probably have to get a liquid cooler if I'd want a new one, right?

So, what would you pick?

i would pick the cheaper one. timings dont matter enough anymore for me to dish out extra money for better. it will be with in 2%. you will never notice that you have the better one so why pay more for it.

The only difference you will see between those two sets will be slightly higher marks in synthetic benchmarks for memory bandwidth, but even then it will be miniscule at best. Save the $6 and get the Ares, especially if the heatsinks are a lower profile.

as ville525 stated at the top of the page.

Crucial BallistiX Elite 1866MHz. sorry for being a noob but i need get my head around this now. my motherboard is a 970A-DS3P. and my ram is Type x2 DDR3
Size 8192 MBytes
Manufacturer Crucial Technology
Max Bandwidth PC3-10700 (667 MHz)
Part Number BLE8G3D1869DE1TX0.
Serial Number 2819324817
SPD Ext. XMP

but all i can find on amazon is.
https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballistix-PC3-14900-240-Pin-BLE8G3D1869DE1TX0/dp/B006YG9CU8?ie=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0

so my ram is pc3 12800 but it is showing as PC3-10700. (baffled). o0

937.6 at average but some times it shows 942.2 and i get the double data rate e.g 937.6 x2 = 1875.2 (not the stated 1866mhz). but this still gives me no clue to why my motherboard handles pc3 12800 ram but the pc3 12800 Crucial BallistiX Elite is showing as PC3-10700 with the bios set to xmp.
