i have the exact set up as well and i am having this issue as well. now i set my RAM up on dddr1 and 2, is this right? Also i did a pre setup before i installed w/0 the hdd and dvd player set up and it booted up fine. then when i connected both hdd and dvd i got this error message. so i unpluged both and it booted up fine, i then connected only dvd player and again it booted up fine, so could it be my hdd? Please help first time builder!

it showed code 15 on a Gigabyte Z77X UD5H

on the motherboard is where the code appeared but i disconnected the case fan by the RAM and the code went away and i got 1 beep and the screen said Reboot and select proper boot device

That's because there's no bootable DVD inserted or OS installed on the HDD.

so where do i connect the fan the comes on the case? this is my motherboard

now theres a plug near the top near the DDDR slots to the left 3 prong but i connected it there and got that error #15

Is it the same if you connect it to the FAN1 (bottom right, near the SATA ports), or FAN3 (top left)?

Yay thank you ! i thought i could not connect it since there is on 3 holes on the fan connection and 4 prongs on the system fan lol thanks for all the help!
