Reliance netconnect wouldn't connect on windows8

I got a reliance netconnect but it is not compatible with windows8 on my laptop. It says some remote access problem. Is there a solution for this?

If you are facing compatibility issues with Reliance Netconnect in Windows 8, follow the steps given below:

1. Uninstall the installed Reliance Netconnect software.
2. Restart the computer.
3. Once restarted, open the setup file (.exe) of reliance netconnect modem.
4. Right-click the setup file, and click Properties.
5. On the opened properties box, go to Compatibility tab.
6. Under Compatibility mode section, check Run this program in compatibility mode for checkbox.
7. From the enabled drop-down list of available operating systems, select Windows 7 or any other supported version of the earlier OS and click OK.
8. Once done, install the application, and then restart the computer.

13. Uninstall all the drivers of the modem i.e. both with yellow and without yellow sign by right-clicking the drivers one-by-one.
14. From the Action menu, click Scan for hardware changes.
15. Start the application and browse the Internet.
