hello, everyone :)
I bought a UPS rated at 550VA/300W some days ago. After i bought it, i started to investigate and i think i could have bought the wrong one (not powerful enough for my PC). When there is power, everything works okay (games run great, PC doesnt shut down randomly when playing games for long time, game doesnt lag dramatically nor i hear fans lowering their RPMs, LEDs dimming or something else i relate to low power issues) and all voltage readings are the same as they were before buying and using the UPS

my question is: when a blackout occurs, will this UPS i bought keep my PC running enough time (like 5 minutes or so) so i can save my stuff and shut down? because thats the primary reason i bought it, to have some backup power to prevent losing my work because of a random blackout.
my pc specs are below:

Foxconn H61MXV motherboard
600W Cooler Master PSU (with 120mm fan)
Intel Core i5 2400 @ 3.10 GHz
nVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti (400W minimum PSU to work properly) (not overclocked)
2 fans with blue LEDs (a 120mm mounted on the side as intake, and a 80mm for exhaust)
Front blue LED equivalent to the on/off light
and the other usual devices (CD drive, card reader, HDD..)

Thanks a lot for helping this newbie here :/ . . . . i really hope that UPS serves me for some time (6 months at least), cuz i bought it on thursday (april 4)

Did it come with a cable and software that allows auto shutdown?
I have my ups connected to my computer and nothing else. The monitor goes black but since the auto shutdown kicks in, I don't need to see.

I have that one, it comes with software that will let you put a gadget on your desktop that will tell you how long your PC will last on battery should a blackout occur. On idle it usually reports about 45 mins and if im gaming around 10 mins. That is with my TV attached to the battery backup as well.

no more than 60 bucks lol, but i now see that these devices are quite expensive :/
with 5 minutes im fine, man.. in the time of a blackout, i just want to save my stuff and shut down.. i can do other things while i wait for power to come back.
