Question about possibly upgraading from Crossfired HD 6870

Hey everybody,

First, it's weird being on this website without a major pc problem. Second, I'm was looking at the specs of upcoming games such as Metro: Last Light, and ARMA 3, and I see that the recommended specs call for an AMD Radeon HD 7750 or higher. My question is whether 2 6870s are as powerful as a 7750 and if not what I should upgrade to? I'm currently playing Bioshock Inifinite which calls for an AMD Radeon HD 6950. When I run it's benchmarking on Ultra it shows an average FPS of 60 but its choppy.

The rest of my specs:
Intel Core i7-2600K @ 3.4GHz
8 GB Ram

Thanks

    A single 6870 is stronger than a 7770.

    2 6870's are roughly equal to a single 7870.

Wait. So I'm within the recommended specs for ARMA 3? Then why am getting such bad performance out of Bioshock Infinite, which is only calling for a 6950?

Do you have the latest cap file installed? Latest driver?

New games often take a bit of time to be fully crossfire compatible.
  4. Sorry I'm still a little new to this. What is a cap file? I'm currently running the 13.3 beta driver (I updated it after poor performance with 13.1).

catalyst application profiles, they are specifically designed for users with multi gpu configurations.

Go to amd's website and download then install the newest.
