Overclocking with the Asus UEFI BIOS

So I have an Intel 3570K processor that I want to overclock. However, I have an Asus Z77 VLK motherboard so it uses the UEFI BIOS. I fiddled around with it for a bit.. Under the AI Tweaker I set the BLK frequency to 103.0 (no idea what that actually means, only that it seemed to change my clock speeds) and it said the target clock speed would be 4100. I restarted and booted up. It ran at 4.1 GHz for about a minute and then dropped to 1.6 GHz. How can I make sure that my computer consistently runs at the clock speed I want it to? It always underclocks itself, even while I'm playing games. How can I make it so that the processor runs at the same clock speed all the time?

It's called Speed Step, and if your processor isn't being taxed enough, it will stay at 1.6 GHz. And don't mess with your BCLK before your multiplier if you are only overclocking your CPU, because that affects your RAM and PCIe speed as well, which makes it very difficult to troubleshoot.

I'm assuming you didn't read anything about overclocking before you tried this.
