Hi I am attempting to build my first gaming PC and I have decided pretty much on the components I would like for it.Because this is my first build I am not exactly sure of the compatibility beetween the components.I will be posting all the components I have choosen and maybe someone can give me some hints if they are compatible.I have done a fair ammount of research to be sure that I am making the right choices but I would still like some aditional opinions:

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K IvyBridge 3.5 GHz Socket 1155
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX670 2GB DDR5 256bit PCIe
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Socket 1155
RAM: Memorie Corsair Vengeance 16GB Kit 2x8GB DDR3 1600MHz
HDD:HDD WD Caviar Black 1TB SATA3 64MB 7200rpm
Power Supply: Corsair Enthusiast Series TX850 V2
Cooling System: Cooler Noctua NH-D14

There is also a a DVD-Writer , I added it just in case I need it someday.I rarely use my curent dvd-writer this days.

Another problem I am facing is choosing an appropiate case for this pc.I am not sure of the size I need it to be for all the components to fit in.

I have seen online that the Noctua NH-D14 is a fairly big cooler.

I am interested in a good air flow case. How it looks is not very important.

Everything you posted will be compatible. As far as cases go you can get a full tower Cooler Master HAF 932, COOLER MASTER HAF X, NZXT Phantom or Corsair Obsidian Series 800D. When it comes to mid tower cases you will have to do some research. I would suggest looking at the Antec Nine Hundred, COOLER MASTER HAF 922 or the RAIDMAX SMILODON. Again to be safe I would go with a full tower case since you are getting the Noctua NH-D14.

I agree with Marcopolo123 but Corsair build great PSUs as well. The main thing would be to get a fully modular PSU because you can add only the cables you need and the rest are not in the way. Great for cable management.
