I am thinking of upgrade but it seems that won't be able to buy everything at once and now I have very good offer for SAPPHIRE HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB GDDR5 and a big decision factor to buy it now or not is will I be able to use it with my current system. Now I have this MoBo - GIGABYTE GA-P31-ES3G with :

1 x PCI Express x16 slot
3 x PCI Express x1 slots
3 x PCI slots

Can the GPU use some of this sockets and could there be any problem if I use it like that. And second a little bit off topic but again about the forward-backward compatability - I plan to to change my MoBo with this one : GIGABYTE GA-B75M-D3V can I use my old RAM on this MoBo? Right now I can't write the RAM spec. but from the description of my current Mobo I get this:

2 x 1.8V DDR2 DIMM sockets supporting up to 4 GB of system memory
Dual channel memory architecture
Support for DDR2 1066/800/667 MHz memory modules

Thanks.

Any PCI-e card will work with your old mobo since it has a pci-e x16 slot, so no worries there. However, you won't be able to use your old RAM modules because they are ddr2 from your old mobo and ddr isn't backward-compatible. DDR2 is obsolete by now so if you want to upgrade your motherboard to the current generation you pretty much have to buy new DDR3 ram sticks.
