Hello everyone, I just have a quick and simple question for you today. I am wondering how my build will run games on Ultra settings. Examples of these games are: World of Warcraft, Mass Effect, Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, SWTOR, and Diablo 3.

My Build:

OS: Windows 7 x64

Monitor: ASUS VH236H

Case: Rosewill Challenger

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78-LMT-S2P

Processor: AMD FX-8350 4.0Gghz 8 cores

GPU: Radeon 7870 2GB DDR5

RAM: Vengeance 2x (4GB) 8GB DDR3 1600mhz

PSU: Corsair TX 650 V2

SSD: Crucial M4 256GB (All games are located on here)

HD: Barracuda 1TB 7000RPM

Really the on thing you are limited on is the mid range GPU. Other than that your system would have no problems running any game on max/ultra settings. These two Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite you might have problems running at ultra or high with that GPU but they still should run ok.

So my new question is, would the Radeon 7950 be a good solution?

If you aren't familiar with this GPU, here are the specs: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1917611&CatId=7387

The 7870 XT is a great bang for buck solution. It outperforms a reference GTX 660 and it comes close to beating a GTX 580. There really isn't anything wrong with the GPU.

Yes it is a great card but I want to be able to run most if not all games at ultra settings. I just purchased the 7870, so is it worth turning around and reselling it and then upgrading to the Radeon 7950? Or just keep the card?
