Hello everyone,

I am going to be upgrading graphics cards from a "Nvidia GT 320" to a "Nvidia GTX 660":

http://www.txcomputer.com.au/gigabyte-gtx-660-oc-pcie-2gd5-dvi-hdmi-gigabyte-gv-n660oc-2gd-4.html

and am unsure if my current power supply unit is enough. I have a "FSP450-60EP" PSU with the listed max wattage 450W and peak wattage 500W. The graphics card is listed as requiring a minimum of 450W. The newegg calculator estimated 445W for my system but that seems too close. Screenshot: http://puu.sh/2viMt

If needing to upgrade, will this be sufficient? http://www.txcomputer.com.au/power-supplies/branded-atx/corsair-550w-vs550-atx-120mm-fan-2x-6-2-corsair-cp-9020050-ww-3.html

Thanks for your help.

You could probably get away with that PSU but I doubt it would last long. If you can afford it, go for that Corsair PSU just to be on the safe side, plus that Corsair PSU will last for years to come.

Your current PSU should be sufficient unless it's very old (4 years or more) and you're not overclocking the GPU highly. That 550W Corsair PSU would be a good replacement, in my opinion. There are many alternatives, though.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Okay, with the corsair I listed, will it fit inside because it is "ATX" or not necessarily? I have this case: http://panam.acer.com/acerpanam/desktop/2010/acer/Aspire/AspireM5910/AspireM5910sp2.shtml

Should I open the case and measure the dimensions of the PSU space or is the corsair the same size as the FSP450-60EP?
