I am about to purchase the Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card, I am as well going to buy a monitor, will this monitor, LG EB2242T-BN 22IN Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor 1920X1080 5MS DVI-D VGA Black, work together with each other? Since I know that DVI links can be different?

Yes they will work together, just buy a DVI -D cable around 6' in length, 3' cables are very short.
