Gaming Performance on lowest settings

i can play LOL smoothly in lowest settings in my old pc when it was windowsXP...
-AMD Sempron 1.9GHz
-1GB ram
-Built-in video card

after a year., i changed my board and i totally hate that OS was changed to Windows8...
just 1 question...

can i play the same smooth gameplay as before when i upgrade my ram to 2GB or 4GB w/out buying the GPU?????

I don't think buying more ram will help. In order to get good gaming results you need to first have atleast a half-decent gpu. Moreover your processor is single core and may prove to be a huge bottleneck in games.
