I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this, apologies if that is the case.
I've built my first PC, but it won't progress past the system speaker beeping 3 times at me repeatedly whenever I turn it on. Specs are:
MSI Z77A-G41
Intel i7 3770
G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1866 (8GB x2)
Gigabyte GTX650Ti
Samsung 840 SATA3 120GB SSD
Seagate 1TB SATA3
Antec Neo Eco 80Plus Bronze 520 PSU
The 3 beeps = a RAM issue according the mainboard's manual. I've tried switching around the 2 RAM sticks, using only 1 RAM stick (tried both), made sure they were in the DIMM 2/4 slots not 1/3 as per the manual, booting without any RAM, booting without the graphics card, nothing works, can't get BIOS to show up.
I've also gone through the checklist found elsewhere on these forums for checking all the connections, standoffs, CPU pins not being bent, etc.
As a complete novice I don't know what's wrong. Could the 3 beeps mean anything else besides a RAM problem?
