My maximus iv gene gen3 is not performing as well since I damaged one of its pci express x16 slots and now I want to go sli. The pci express slots barely have any spaces between them so I guess I am better off getting a new motherboard. The options that I am considering are-
Asus maximus V formula z77- around $150-200 (second hand 1 month used comes with receipts)
Asus sabertooth z77 =$245 brand new
Asus p8z77v-pro= $228
Asus p8z77V deluxe=$289
My plan is simply to overclock my i7 3770k to around 4.6ghz ( I will be using the corsair h100i/h110 cooler) and set up sli with another gtx670 I was pretty satisfied with my maximus iv gene the ROG motherboards really overclocks higher with lower voltage. But now I am considering all the options. Which one of these motherboards would be best for me? I am considering other options too so feel free to suggest.
