I installed my new computer the other day with 3570K and Hyper Evo 212. And I went to check temperatures in the bios and it said 40C which I thought was a little too much considering the computer was pretty much idle at that time.

And now I went to test it in the morning. Turned it on after a night sleep (computer was shut down for the whole night) and immediately looked at the temp's in bios and it said 35C. I don't get it because in my room is actually cold at the moment 20-23C.

No way it can get to 35C in 1 second. So is the bios reading it wrong or what is wrong here?

Because your computer was shut down for the whole night, so your PC parts were much cooler as soon as you started pc they start getting hot, so in bios when you saw 35c after 15min it will show 40c or after few hour gaming it might show 50c this is normal as the heat takes time to dissipate from pc. The moment you switch on pc the temp of the cpu will start rising and even faster if its overclocked running in high voltage. Thanks

Update:

Well the answer is in your own question, As soon as voltage starts going inside cpu starts getting hot so within a sec after starting pc you see 35c perhaps as mcnumpty23 later suggested you can check in windows how the temp is showing and then get a better comparison? Also in stock voltage cpu might not get hot so quickly compared to overclock. In old days a Pentium could get fried with 3-5sec without a cooler on top, luckily modern cpus got a thermal protection which prevents this from happening. But to answer you normally the temp is little higher that you see in bios but can very from board to board depending on the sensor.
Thanks

I know all that that but how is it possible for cpu to be 35C hot 1 second after I turned it on (after it was turned off for 8 hours) and in my room its 22C? So I'm asking is Bios showing wrong temperatures or something else is wrong?
