There's the information that was requested, let me guess your as stumped as I am. Man I hate to buy a new processor, only to find out its not the memory controller. I think that is what it is though, if it was the mother board then the PC wouldn't boot at all no matter what memory configuration I used. I can notice the difference though especially when windows first starts, the system hangs up for a moment. I'm assuming this is due to the single channel bottle neck, both cores trying to access the memory at the same time and one has to wait for the other. That's the benefit of dual channel right? No waiting for each core.

so, are you going to give us the information requested or are you going to write a book every time you reply and not provide anything?

That is the information you wanted, look at the end of my original post. I know how to update my post and I'm sorry if you hate reading. If it bothers you that I write with detail then don't bother reading it.

Figured this topic had been deleted, I never was able to figure out this one. Ended up just scraping the entire board, memory and processor, and buying new guts to update it to an FX series chip. Moderators feel free to dump this thread, as it contains no helpful answers for anyone.
