Need some help here.

I recovered files off this 1.5TB Seagate drive...barely. Now I want to reformat.

1)Well windows won't do it, just hangs when I try to reformat. Disk management doesnt load.
2) BIOS shows drive
3) DBan Boot and Nuke says Drive Not Recognized
4) Active@Kill Disk freezes

What the hell can I do to reformat this drive so I can get it working again?

Hi :)

Run a hard drive test in DOS... HIRENS BOOT CD etc, it sounds like a failing hard drive... do NOT do this if you have an SSD...

All the best Brett :)

was the entire drive ( 1.5tb ) recognized when it ran right?

can you hook it to another machine ( w7 ) after boot up?

Tried seatools in DOS, did not recognize drive.

But windows can still "see" it. I just don't understand why its so inconsistent.

HDTune benchmark fails midway through:

Hooked it up to my laptop via my dock station, cannot reformat on that one either Windows still hangs on any reformat or disk management action.
