i am on a budget so saving some cash would be helpful
so is i5-3550 worth the extra cash
it just has a 100 mhz over 3470
my other specs are
hd 7770
8 gb ram
win 7 64 bit
if i were you i would try and stretch your budget as far as you can to get a 7800 series card like a 7850 because that will give you a much better gaming experience
just get the 3470 .. the difference is 2-3 fps max (in gaming) .. not even worth spending that extra money for i5 3550 or 3570.. if you want to overclock forget the i5 and get a Amd 8350 ...

if you dont overclock i5 3470 is a great option...
if you want to increase the gaming performance, getting a better gpu than 7770 is the more wise solution .. because you wont gain much gaming performance with 7770 anyways .. try to get at least a 7850.. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7790-bonaire-performance,3462-6.html

More like .1 FPS. Even 500MHz would be an unnoticeable difference. Like 1FPS max.
