Help with my first graphics card, please.

Ok, I'm building my first computer, and I can't figure out what graphics card to use. I know I don't want an NVIDIA so please don't suggest NVIDIA. Also my absolute max in US $ is $140, but i'd like something lower. The graphics card I'm looking at now is the Sapphire Vapor-X radeon hd 7770, but I'm not sure if it's worth geting the Vapor-X version.

I might suggest this sapphire 7770 card instead.

The clock rate is equal, and it is cheaper. I like that the cooler sends more air out the back of the case instead of recirculating it.

May I ask what turns you off from Nvidia?

We are all fanboys of what we have purchased, I suspect your friends are amd fans.
No matter, at each price point, amd and nvidia perform so closely that you can't tell the difference without a benchmark.
If there is currently one difference between the two it is consistency of response times(lagging)

That doesn't matter around here sadly i cannot tell you how many times i've seen AMD fanboys do the samething it's no different.Besides i do not think he was suggesting a NV card to begain with do you?
