How to connect USB Hard Drive port on PVR (DVR) to Network drive (NAS)

I have a PVR that has a USB expansion port for an external hard drive.
Is there an adapter that the PVR's USB would see as a hard drive but the adaptor would have an ethernet (or wireless) connection and would be configured (pointed) to a directory on the NAS?

Thanks and please correct me if I posted in the wrong place.

    Hi :)

    That wont work... so no

    All the best Brett :)
  2. Sorry but I have to disagree.
I could use a Linux box. Connect the PVR to the USB port. Connect the Linux box to a network hard drive.
Do some mapping/pointing in the Linux box.
I am just looking for a better way, an adapter instead of Linux box running 24/7

    But thanks
  3. Hi Brett, did you ever resolve this? I am trying to do the same thing...make a PVR think its looking at a USB drive when it's actually looking at a network location...
  4. GOOD COMMENTS ....
  5. No it can't. Find another solution. I think a mapped dtive is the only way.
