I have a GTX 690 installed in my system and I heard somewhere that it may result in better cooling if i have intake on the top and exhaust on the bottom. I have a cooler master elite 431 plus. For intake i have a single 120 mm that came with the case. For exhaust i have the stock fan that came with my Corsair Hydro Series H60 attached to the radiator which is mounted at the top of the case and a GeLid solutions slim 12 pl blue at the top rear above the mobo i/o ports. Should I flip the intake for exhaust and the exhaust as intake.

Whoever told you that doesn't know anything about anything...

Think about it - hot air rises, right? So why in the WORLD would you try to counteract that, instead of using it to your benefit?

In addition, the 690 pulls air from below it - which is a second huge reason you want the intake to be blowing cool, fresh air into it.

Yes but it also shoots hot air out towards the bottom of the case so wouldn't that result in recycling air too since the air blown off it would get pushed back in by the intake fan?
