Problem raising the cpu fan speed.

I'm trying to increase my cpu stock fan speed to 100% or to high speed. I don't know if stock fans allow raising fan speed or not. If someone has an idea, please share it.

Mobo: intel foxconn g31mxp/g31mxp-k
Cpu: Intel core 2 quad Q8400 2.66, socket: 775 LGA

turn off speed step in the Bios if you have it. Bios 'If not known" is right after boot press f2/delete as soon as the motherboard/manufacture name appears. this will force the fan to 100% all the time.

EDIT: as i have not run an intel board for a while it may be called something different but Either what Fieldmarschall has said or I, will do the trick for you. my Core Duo sits hanging on the wall as an ornament and is not set up for me to see exactly what they call it.
