Hello,

I'm trying to get a more detailed understanding of how SSD's work and when they are being used. Okay, first off: When you open up a program, what goes on inside the SSD? I know that with HDD's a mechanical arm reads a rotating disc, and I know that an SSD is comprised of chips and uses flash memory, but how does that work? When a little square contains the data for a certain program, how does it transfer that onto your RAM? That's my main question.

My other question is about when the SSD is in action. I know that it is being used whenever you open up a program, I.E. a game or your web browser, but when you are browsing the web and you click on a link, is it being used then? I don't think it is, but I'm just curious.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I really like to learn about this stuff.
