The title says it all really, my current one isn't long enough to work with the cable management in my case and the wire covers some of the exhaust fan, if they are could someone link a reliable uk one from either amazon or ebay. Thanks

Although they are not considered ideal, they are often used for just that reason - Here are two from amazon uk http://www.amazon.co.uk/Akasa-AK-CBPW08-40BK-Flexa-ATX1... and http://www.amazon.co.uk/BitFenix-8-Pin-EPS12V-Extension...
My only concern would be heat build up at the connections but that's easy enough to check for

if i keep the place where the meet in the case and not it the cable management bit would that be fine?

Heat would come from the connector not having a solid connection, the remedy for that would be to ensure the connectors fit into each other snugly (it shouldn't produce a lot of heat with a solid connection)

They are perfectly safe... as safe as any well insulated electric extension should be.

+1 Would completely agree. I have been using them for over two years with no problems because the one's from my PSU just are not long enough for my full tower Dragon Rider or GRone cases. Although I use custom sleeved cables the ones from amazon will work just fine also.
