I have two Quadro 4000 cards and they both idle at 84c. I never thought that was hot (for Quadro) until I started reading posts today. (Both PNY and purchased from two different vendors.)

well I sent it back to the supplier who fixed it,I think they just re,applied thermal paste but rather them do it than me. It's now running around 78. If I turn the fan up to 60% it cools to around 65.. why have 2 cards in? I have a gaming card as well but removed it when I got my quadro back.. can I run the quadro and a gaming card at the same time? assign wash card to different tasks?

Hi n220,

I'm really intereseted in getting the Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo III for my quadro 4000.

From your comment you can hook the pwm connectors straight into the quadro board? So did you completely remove the stock fan? what Vram heatsinks did you use? did they come with the Arctic or did you buy yours seperate. I recently replaced the TIM to mx-4 and keep it free of dust but temps are still 80c+ and fed up. This seems better as the fans would be quieter and controlled by PWM would be great.. the other option is a passive mx-13 but they are harder to buy on market.

Could you post some steps? or images? I know how to take the quadro apart, but tips/steps on fitting a Arctic would be real help!

Cheers in advance n220!

Thanks for the FB link! I brought the twin turbo III a week ago but I'm yet to install it.

Your Images are a big help!

There is no VRAM heatsink's in the box for the front of the graphics card?? do you have to buy these separate or do you not need them?

Cheers!
