Are you a geeky couple wanting to play that new co-op game that was released recently so you both buy a copy only to realize that you needed two copies because Steam thinks that only lonely people play their games so they make people like us pay double just to play games like Orcs Must Die 2 together and so forcing us to have two hard copies lying around in the house therefore taking up more valuable leased space?

ARGH.

PS. I realize everyone looooves to go all digital these days but my partner and I personally loves the hard copy sitting there on our shelves. But two copies is just ridiculous. That's like buying two sets of Naruto manga because the 'manga police' (or Steam) believes everyone who buys their product is some lonely bastard.

Just use one copy of the software with different key codes on two separate PCs.

Either way, it's been my experience that when using a disk to install anything that has to run through Steam, it requires an update anyhow. So just buy key codes (ie through Amazon or another e-tailer) and download the game through steam and activate it using the key codes through Steam.

So, you're complaining because these platforms make it harder to pirate games? I disagree with a lot of DRM schemes, using tactics such as only allowing games to be activated so many times per purchased copy, but you are basically complaining because you can't steal something. Go troll somewhere else.
