XFX AMD Radeon 6670 HD
or
XFX AMD Radeon 6750 HD

I have one of them, and my friend has the other, and he is selling his. And offered to do a straight trade and sell the slightly worse one.

Comparison link: http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=659&card2=654

all hd radeon 6xxx cards are opengl 4.1 compliant. The 6670 has GDDR5. The 6750 has about 250 more GFLOPS, I am told that means it is better. But I want to make sure that is true. Also the 6750 on there says it only supports OpenGL up to 3.2. All radeon 6XXX series support OpenGL4.1. The clock speed in difference between the 2 is 100mhz, does that make any difference?

The 6750 does have 720 stream processors, the 6670 has 480. But the 6750 has a 100mhz slower clock. I don't know which is better. The 6750 gets 240 more GFLOPS. I build systems, I know how to do that, understanding all the technology is something I am still learning.

I appreciate your answer. Can you give me technical reasoning why its better, and an idea how much of an improvement in gaming I will get?

Yes, as that is true, some cards rank higher in different categories. 2 tiers higher on that chart means better for gaming? or better for 3d modeling, etc? Answer me these questions: 1) which is better? A. 800mhz with 480 streaming processors or B. 700mhz with 720 streaming processors. 2) is 240 GFLOPS more going to increase gaming performance, and if so, by how much?

The most important spec is the stream processor count then the speed.
The 6670 has 480 SP
the 6750 has 720 SP
The 6750 will be faster because it has more SP even though they are running 100mhz slower.
800x480=384000
700x720=504000.
Plus you could probably overclock it that 100mhz and be even faster.
