Hi guys, I just purchased the Benq XL2420xt monitor and am having trouble getting audio out of the headphone jack. It works using an HDMI cable but i'm unable to experience the monitors 120hz with HDMI. Is it possible to get both the audio and have the 120hz?

Great monitor!

Any 120Hz monitor I know of requires a Dual-Link DVI-D cable or DP cable connections in order to get 120Hz refresh rates. Unfortunately, (while DP is capable) this does not carry sound with the video signal.

If you have budget get a good 5.1 PC speaker system. If not get a $20 PC stereo or 2.1 speaker system. Either will be better than the speakers in a PC monitor.

Even most 2.1 speaker setups have a headphone jack off the powered side. Other than that, if you're looking to use headphones, you'll have to plug them into your case so you can get the 120Hz using the dual link DVI cable that came with the monitor.
