Hey guys!

I recently just purchased a nzxt full case ( the original not the 820) and i was wondering what the best set up would be for air flow with the h100i.

The case allows to top 200 mm fans and then L brackets that allow you to mount your h100.
2 120/140 mm side fans with option of installing a 200/240 mm side fan as well
1 120/140 mm front fan
Finally a 120 mm back exhaust fan.

I want to mount the h100 on the top and use the 200 mm fans plus the h100i with the Noctua nf-f12 fans for the push pull system for the radiator. But would that mean i should make the side fans an exhaust point or should I just use the top and back for exhaust and allow the warmer air to go through the h100? been trying to figure out how i want to do this for awhile

The case for those of you that do not know it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146067

Seems like it's easy enough to mount on the top, despite the differences in fan sizes. Google images gives a load of them in pull and push/pull configs. http://cdn.overclock.net/0/0a/0acb003a_DSC00906.jpeg

The two side fans are too far forwards to be useful as exhausts. If you did try to run them as exhausts all they would really do is push out the air coming in front the front fans. Warmer air will always flow through the h100 if you have it mounted on an exhaust section, and it will theoretically reduce its effectiveness, but it's not going to make vast amounts of difference. Your 2 200mm+120mm fans will still exhaust plenty of air.

Yeah after doing some research i found that alot of people are still having it exhaust through the h100 and I guess it really doesn't have too big of an impact. a lot of people moded the 5.5' bay area to have another 120/140 mm fan to create more air flow and maybe i will do that too.

Honestly, I doubt it'll be a massive issue. One of the main advantages of something like a H100 is that it doesn't have a massive lump of a heatsink clamped to your motherboard causing you issues with ram. I think in that picture I linked the gap looks a lot smaller than it really is because of the perspective. If you genuinely are concerned then there are plenty of lower profile ram options like the Corsair Vengeance LP or Samsung Green ram. Ram heatsinks are relatively pointless anyway.

Also, running it as an intake is great for benchmarks but it's probably not very helpful in the real world, as you are just blowing hot air into/around your case.
