So my questions were is this build good enough to run newer or current games like crysis 3, far cry 3, bioshock infinite at max at at LEAST 60 fps although i dont actually want to have that minimum i want to have at least some security from a little extra power. I guess in other words maybe a little overkill. I am also a little concerned about whether i should get the geforce gtx 680 or the 7970 already in my build. Also if you could suggest a low priced keyboard or mouse suitable for gaming? And you could also change or suggest things in my list. thx.

Solution

Do not buy a 680, it's only 5% or so faster for a lot more money.

The 7970 ghz is faster then a 680 and a little more expensive than a 670, it's an excellent card to go with.

If you want an Nvidia card go with a 670. I use a 670 and it's a great card, maxes everything out well.

SLI can be a pain for games sometimes driver wise, so a single card is the best way to go for 1080p.

Hmm then I will consider the gtx 680 although do you think it might be better to get two previous generation cards like the 7870 in crossfire or even dual nvidias in SLI?

Cool then that pretty much answers my question except I'm a little worried about not being able to max out crysis 3 like you said

I just thought of another question. Can anyone answer it? will either a radeon HD 7970 GHz edition or a normal edition overclocked beat a gtx 680 at least by a little bit, and if so would I have to worry about power consumption or temperature?

HD 7970 GHz is better than 680.

Don't worry about power consumption unless electricity is very expensive where you live.

What about temperature also will over clocking cause a shorter life to the card?

Yes, it will shorten life span if overclocking heavily. You can create a new thread asking about overclocking the card when you get it too. You can overclock a GPU a decent amount.
