Black Spot on LCD Monitor

i have benq lcd monitor.. yesterday i accidentally sprayed mosquito repellent on monitor and forgot to clean it... after few hours i found black spot at bottom of lcd which keeps spreading gradually from an hour to hour.
Is there any solution to this problem?
How much this black spot will continue to grow?

Oh dear...

While we can't exactly tell you how long the spot is going to continue to grow, well...

The fact that you left the liquid on there and now you've got a spot growing from the bottom to me screams liquid damage, which can't really be repaired. I'm hoping that you had a normal monitor, and not one of the $400, 120Hz BenQ's?

right.. bt it worths $200 and i can't spend money on monitor for next 1 year..
as you said its irreparable, so, please tell me if it can be stopped to some extent that would be a blessing in disguise?

Best thing I can think of would be setting a descant of some form right underneath the monitor, but I'm not sure how much that would help.

Is it still spreading?

yes Mister! it is spreading like half a inch everyday upwards.
and there is something... it's being outlined by thin pink color... i think its never gonna stop and i must give up hope.
What do you suggest??

I'm sorry to tell you this, but you're kinda screwed. Do you happen to have a picture of the damage?
(Just to see if I can try to tell if it's the screen itself that's damaged, or the controller board.)
