I want to build a system to use mainly for some heavy data crunching work, office use and also to use as a home theater. I will be connecting it to a 52" TV. Here's the components that I have selected. I wanted to make sure I had high specs and forward compatibility. Is this an overkill? Should I change some stuff for cheaper versions? Thanks!

750W is overkill for your system. U can get away with 450W for the current set-up.

For data crunching and HTPC, i don't think u will ever need graphic card, just go with the HD4000 that comes with ur i7.

For the mobo, u can go for P8Z77-V instead of "pro" if you don't need so many USB3 ports and e-sata.

i would pay less on the motherboard as 200$ for a z77 is not cheap (got my board for 100$ after MIR) so except you need all the connection that the Pro is featuring, you can grab an LK version that would do the same but for less money...

You could also buy a smaller monitor as you're plugging your PC on a 52' TV anyway so if you want big screen, check the TV, otherwise a 24 inch would be still really good and maybe 100$ cheaper (i recommend you all the ASUS line, they're awesome, great choice on your side)

I wouldn't buy an OCZ PSU, i suggest that you pick a Seasonic unit or some Corsair or Antec PSU, they're the most suitable, powerfull and they'll stay stable on the long term...

lastly if you're only making heavy CPU intensive stuff like 1 day per month, grab the 3570k I5 as the HT of the 3770k would be usefull only if you're always doing that or at least on a each day usage, if you're only doing that 1 time a week, the 3570k would save you about 100$ and it's still a really good CPU so it'll be fast enough for only an occasional use...

Save money on the PSU, get a 550W - cheaper yet still future-proof. You could save money on the CPU buy opting for an i5-3570K as it performs very similarly to the 3770K and can overclock just as well (4.5 GHz+).

For the OS, get Windows 7 or 8, they are both good. Choose the one you prefer.
