Low FPS Oblivion on 7970 Ghz Edition?

I am currently getting 57-63 FPS on oblivion on max settings on 1360x768 resolution, my GPU is the AMD Radeon 7970 Ghz Edition, and my CPU is a intel i5 3570k, motherboard is Asrock z77 extreme4. Are these frame rates normal?

Use task manager to set Oblivion to use two cores. It is a lightly-multithreaded game.

Also, how does your fps fair, for example, outside Bruma, overlooking the farmhouse? My FPS would dip from a solid 50 to a stuttery 23.

Not sure man, can't check because now my PC won't detect my GPU for some reason!? Sometimes it wants to detect it, sometimes it doesn't, but yet the fans are running on it etc..
