Hey there, im looking to build a pc for the release of FFXIV: A Realm Reborn and ive been looking into it to some depth however i am no expert. Here are the system requirements.

FXIV: ARR Minimum System Requirements

Operating System: Windows® XP 32bit, Windows® Vista 32/64bit, Windows® 7 32/64 bit.
Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo
Graphics: NVIDIA® Geforce® 8800 Series, ATI Radeon™ HD 4770
Memory: 2GB of RAM.
Disk Space: 20GB.

FXIV: ARR Recommended System Requirements

For the best performance you should aim to run the game on a system with at least these specifications.
Operating System: Windows® 7 64 bit
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5
Graphics: NVIDIA® Geforce® GTX 5xx Series, AMD Radeon™ HD 7970
Memory: 4GB of RAM.
Disk Space: 20GB.

And here is a build that i think would be within my budget.

Case: NZXT Source 210 USB 3.0 Mid Tower Chassis with 1x 120/140mm Fan - Elite White

Power Supply: Corsair Builder Series CX 430 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply Unit

Processor: Intel i3-2120 Sandybridge Core i3 Dual-Core Processor ? 3.30GHz, 3MB Cache, Socket 1155, 3 Year Warranty, Retail Boxed

Motherboard: MSI B75MA-P45 Motherboard (Intel B75 Processor, 32GB RAM, Micro ATX, SATA, LAN, LGA 1155)

RAM: Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 8GB 1600Mhz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory Module Kit

GFX Card: EVGA GF GTX 650Ti 2GB SSC Graphics Card

Harddrive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATAIII 6Gb/s 16MB Cache 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive OEM

Any Comments or advice would be greatly appreciated, im sure ive made a massive error somewhere ! Thanks Alot

Okay so to clarify this is a build from scratch not an upgrade i hope this helps you understand what im trying to do

Approximate Purchase Date: Over the next month

Budget Range: 400 - 500 pounds

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming and Film only, have a laptop for browsing and the like

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon.co.uk or any uk parts websites would preferably like to be able to order it all together and save on shipping

Location: St. Albans, Hertfordshire , UK

Parts Preferences: No real preferences , whatever is best in relevance to gaming on a single monitor and good value for money

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: Will be purchasing a new monitor and really dont know much about it, would appreciate advice on this area.

Additional Comments: Being built 100% for Final Fantasy XIV: a realm reborn and possibly other games such as battlefield 3 and the like

so would you say to stick with the budget build now and upgrade in 2014 ? or do you think there could be a better build with that budget in mind ?

yup..thats what I did...I got a 7770 on a i5....poor I know...I cant wait for haswell....I heard it increases MINIMUM fps 20% so that the delta between max and min is smaller when paired with a 8xxx. very big deal when matching a budget rig to a 8xxx series.
